Multiple job applications on company websites - does HR verify past apps and compare?

When you have submitted multiple applications through the company website through the past year or so, does HR view all your past applications? Do they also compare resumes (my resume was tailored different ways for each job and previous experience was spun a different way)? What do they check from your past applications?

Seeing as how HR people are lazy, talentless clowns, I'd be surprised if they read your current application, let alone a previous one.

That's why they want one page resumes, even when you have too much experience to fit on one page. When I'm job hunting, I use two pages, but never any more than that.

Who said they wanted one page resume?

I ask because in my experience, the moment I revamped my resume into a 2-pager, I undeniably started getting calls left and right.

2 pagers looks real nice and 'profesisonal'- feels weighted and serious. 1 pagers look like a joke to me personally- you can barely fit much info in.

I'm not sure who said it... but can confirm that it used to be a thing and was recommended.

But I agree. Two pages is probably the sweet spot. And one need not put past history as a gas station attendant if they're looking for a job as an IT professional.
