Multiple ISP network setup

So I went out to a customer's house and he had a very weird request:

He has 2 cable modems in his house. One he has wired/wirelessly connected to his families computers. The other modem is connected (by an N router/adapter) to his work computer. Apparently he does video editing for a company in Cali and uses a lot of bandwidth uploading and downloading video files. Now he wants to be connected to the families network at the same time by wire so that he can share his printer over the network for them to use but he does not want any of his work to interfere with their network bandwidth and vise versa.

Is there anyway to connect a computer to two different networks but specify which network connection is to be used for internet usage?

Yes, he can stick a second NIC in the computer and plug it to the Family Router.

By doing so the computer would be connected to two independent Networks.
Configure the metrics of the NICs to prefer the Work connection. ( http://www.ezlan.net/metrics.html ).

Therefore, by default the preferred connection would the work one.

When he wants to connect to the Family Network, he chooses it in the Network Neighborhood or through the UNC.

Or he could set the default gateway on his machine to be the 2nd modem and on the other pcs set the default gatway to be the first modem
