I'm building my first machine, primarily for 3D rendering, with a core i7 860, gigabyte ga-p55-ud4 Mb, 8G ddr3 1333mhz Ram, win 7 64 bit.

I was wondering, do i just get a WD caviar black 1Tb drive and load everything on or do i get said drive and partition it for software/data or do i get two smaller physical drives for the same split.

Will performance be affected much by just loading everything onto one big drive?
