basically, im looking to add file sharing between 2 computers.

computer A is connected to the internet with linksys wireless G (also has intel wired NIC), computer B has wired NIC with cross-over cable to computer A. as soon as i enable the wired NIC on A i loose internet connection from the wireless, like its looking to the wired card for service. computer B's NIC and computer A's wired NIC have static IP's and communicate great when enabled, but then i loose internet on A's wireless. at present i can only have one or the other at any given time.

how can i keep both cards active simutaniously and get the communication im looking for?
(XP on both machines)

as always, you guys rule! Thanks! -Beni

On PC A, click on the Start button.
Point to Settings, and click on Network Connections.
In the Network Connections window, right click on your Wireless connection and choose Properties.
In the Properties window, click on the Advance tab, and check the box labeled (something like this, I can't remember exactly) "Allow other users to connect to the Internet through this connection." If it asks you what connection to use to provide the sharing, select your wired connection on the PC
Click OK and accept any prompts you get.
Connect the crossover cable between the two computers and reboot PC B.

If it still doesn't work, reply here with any errors you get during the process, as well as the results of "IPCONFIG" on PC B (run the IPCONFIG command in a Command Prompt window).
