multiplayer xbox game recommendations

besides halo... can anyone recommend some good multiplayer xbox games? i'm not looking for anything that requires xb live, or anything involving balls (football, baseball, basketball, etc).
 
I just bought an xbox 3 days ago (sp Halo Edition)

so far bought MVP baseball (awesome)
Project Gotham Racing 2 (awesome)
Halo (obviously awesome)
WWF Raw 2 (shipped yesterday)

and am now eyeing Top Spin (tennis game)

i wanted to buy pgr2 also... but i am stuck on pgr1.... that shiat is hard!

PGR1 has an extreme learning/difficulty curve. PGR2 addressed that problem. It's not like in PGR1 at all. Get PGR2 and throw away PGR1.

yeah, i have heard that pgr1 is hard... but i kind of like it tho. after like two hours, i as finally able to earn a silver medal in one of the races... now only like 50 more races to go, at 2 hours a pop. at least i am getting my money's worth ($12 at gamestop) 🙂

me and my wife played the original on the sega genesis all the time
we haven't gotten an Xbox yet , but we've played the new version on my brother-in-law's
 
All the EA sports games I've played so far are REALLY fun. I've played; Tiger Woods 04, NHL 04, NBA 04, FIFA 04, Madden 04, NCAA b-ball and football 04. All are great. Oddly enough I think the NHL game was one of the better ones, and I had NEVER watched hockey before I played it.

same thing happened to me like 7 or 8 years ago. i started playing the EA nhl series on my sega genesis. before that... i was just like... hockey is dumb 😛
 
Fuzion Frenzy is a great multiplayer party game (mini-games).

TOCA Race Driver 2 is comparable to PGR2... I bought it for the PC and it's awesome.

This game has limited use. Forget the one player mode. I would rather make a 200 foot bungee jump with a 204 foot bungee cord. As for the multiplayer mode, it might not be bad if one night you and your buds wanna order a pizza, huddle around the T.V. and play minigames all night.

Only multiplayer over Live, but it's freaking great. Also Crimson Skies is great, and Burnout 2 for two player head to head racing.
 
man... that $99 deal is really makin me wanna take a plunge 😱

just how good/bad are those controllers for FPS?

Speaking of Halo.. I would be willing to challenge anyone for any ammount of money at Halo!!! I love that game. I have been in a few tournaments and won them. Im sponsered by GameStop! Just thought I would throw that out there. A good multiplayer game for XBOX is Rainbow Six!!! On XBOX Live it is incredable. Or even better in my oppinion, NBA Inside Drive 2004. Game play is unreal in that game even on XBOX live!!!
