Multimedia KB for Pavilion 7940

I have a multimedia kb for hp pavilion 7940. I recently did a clean install of Windows 2K and now my multimedia keyboard doesn't work as intended. Some buttons work, but not all. The drivers on the HP CD won't work because won't let me use the drivers unless I did a full system recovery. Does anybody know of another way? Thanks.
 
you can use the drivers on the CD, you just have to install them manually--by going to the directory on the CD where they are, and then run the setup.exe or install.exe file--it works, i did it for my roomates computer last year.
