I have a Win XP P4 2.4GHZ system with an AIW 8500 and a TNT2. I have a two monitor setup and have begun to have this problem recently that is driving me nuts. Direct X 9.0b, newest drivers for Radeon and the Microsoft certified ones for the TNT2. Games play fine.
Whenever I play Quicktime Movies or use Publisher all of the icons on my desktop flicker. In Publisher all of my pics flicker like they are "updating" or something but they do it everytime I move the mouse and then I can't do anything until it stops. Plus, at least one or twice my second monitor (TNT2) goes nuts and either goes into sleep mode or just looks like it went "out of range" no matter what resolution it is in. I have to go to display props to change resolution and then change back to fix it. I'm thinking of a reformat and may do it anyway when I get the AIW 9600 but would still like to know what the hell is going on.
