I'm having trouble find documentation on this type of thing, even in Microsoft's archives.
I've got Windows XP Pro here, and I'm trying to get it to use two interfaces, appropriately, to access the Internet. The same Internet. A kind of load-balancing is what I'm after.
The two interfaces are a network card to a router/gateway to DSL, and a 56k modem, if you MUST know.
No questions about the modem thing. They will go unheard. Shuddup, you.
Is it even possible for Windows to choose between two interfaces to access the same network?
If it isn't I still would like to know something else, related kinda. Windows picks one interface to access the Internet. If I dialin the modem, it cuts off existing connections and starts using the modem for new ones. How do I tell it which interface I'd like it to use by default? Where is that?
