MultiConnection Sharing with Cable Internet

In win98se, how to share your one cable internet account with my other computer? Do i need a hub? Can anyone tell me, detailedly, how to do this?

I'd be very appreciated if anyone could help ^_^

If you put two NICs in the machine with the cablemodem, and one in the guest machine you could use Microsoft ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) or try programs like Sygate to direct TCP/IP traffic to the two computers.(Cablemodem goes into one NIC, guest machine plugs into other)

Goodluck

Hmm, sounds easy enough ^^
So does the ICS automatically detect everything? (cablemodem plug into in NIC, guest computer plug into my other NIC)

Also, is there an alternative to this ICS?
thx everyone!!

You have to tell ICS which NIC is the Cable Connection and which is the guest machine, but I believe it will take care of the rest.

And as I said, Sygate is one alternative to ICS... they are many, but Sygate is the only one I am familiar with.
