Multiboot system. How would you go about doing this? Will this work?

I was wondering if any of you have tried this, I have a 320gb HD and want to multiboot the following OSes.

XP Pro, XP Media Center, XP 64, Vista, OS X, Ubuntu.

Here is how I think I am going to do it.

Install order:

XP --> Vista --> Mac OS X --> Linux

1st primary - install XP
2nd primary - leave empty leave for your Mac OS X install
3rd primary - install Vista
first extended volume - install XP x64
second extended volume - install media center
Then ill leave the rest as "free space" and install ubuntu on that.

Think it will work?

Are you actually planning on using all of these or are you just going to be doing some testing with them. If that is the case you can always use vmware.

err you can install all except OSX( i am not sure if you can with this one but the rest yeah on different partitions) and make it work

It is not recommended you install two OS on a same partition.

You can create ONLY 4 partitions on a single drive. I noticed you wanted to install 6. I wouldn't do this if i were you unless you enjoy frustration 🙂

Linux can boot from a Logical drive...within an extended partition.
