I know there is no such thing as a future proof system but I would like to make this system as much future proof as possible. While I would like to make this system somewhat of a high-end, money do matters, so for example: in case of a RAM I would like to buy 8GB for now and when the time is right I would like to buy another 8GB and add to it.

While I would like to play games I would not like to make this system solely for games.

I know absolutely nothing about CPU casing, Graphics Card and PSU's.

I would like to use this system to build applications and Games for Android, web development and play some heavy games which will be released in the future which I can't already play on my i5 system with intel hd4000.

Applications I would like to use almost daily:
Eclipse, Android emulator, Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, GTA IV (V if it ever gets released ), Notepad++, Firefox, Chrome, Virtual PC, Visual Studio, Action/RPG games( I haven't played anything other than CS Source but would like to test some heavy games like Skyrim and stuff).

Operating System I am planning to use: Windows 7, Ubuntu, and Mac OS X(haven't decided the version yet) on Multi-Boot.

I would like to buy a 23 inch screen with 1920 x 1080 Pixels and maybe later add a couple more monitors to it or get a 32 inch Television instead.

What I have found online: This is just what I think I should have:

G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1600 Mhz - $110
Cooler Master Enforcer - $123
Logitech G300 Gaming USB 2.0 Mouse - $25
TVS-e Champ Media Plus - $13
Asus 23 inch VX238H-W LED Backlit LCD Monitor - $250
Creative SBS A520 5.1 Speaker - $55
Western Digital 2tb Hard Diskdrive (wd20ezrx) - $100
Corsair RM650 PSU - $134
ZOTAC GTX 770 - $440
Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) - $400
GIGABYTE Z97 - $250-300

Please update your post to include answers to the questions posed in this thread. It'd also be useful if you listed out the prices that you're seeing for the components that you have listed.

Also, I'm not sure what the following means: "TVS-e Champ Media Plus (Please recommend me a nice gaming laptop, I don't want it to look cool, I want it to feel cool)". Can you elaborate?

Sorry, I saw the thread but I don't see what I can I include from there?

OK, will do.

Someone recommended me 'TVS-e Champ Media Plus' keyboard because I will type a lot, but it feels more like a office type keyboard rather than a gaming keyboard. So, I wanted to know if there is a nice keyboard you'd recommend me for less than $30.

-Update- OOps, I just realized I wrote 'gaming laptop' I wanted to write 'gaming keyboard'

Thanks

Whey you say Gigabyte Z97 is this for an ATX Motherboard?

Enforcer must be the case. I see it is $89 with free shipping on newegg. Looks like an ATX case to me.

Gigabyte Z97 - ATX

Well, Cooler Master Enforcer is $123 here in India.

What is wrong with ATX?

Also, some people told me that 4790k is not worth the extra money, 4770 is just as nice. So I will get H97 board with it.

I also heard that Maxwell and 8xx might be released soon. I can wait if needed be. What do you think?

Sorry my bad, I linked to the wrong thread. I meant to link to this one (also fixed the other post).

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
: While I would like to play games I would not like to make this system solely for games.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
Under USD 2000

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
India

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.
http://www.flipkart.com/ or http://Amazon.in/

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Not a fanboy.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
None.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
I don't have experience with overclocking. If it is easy I would like to go for it.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
1920 x

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Not in a hurry.

Thanks.

- What's your budget in INR?
- Question 10 in the list, do you need any software?
- Does "None" to question 6 mean that you need monitor, mouse, and keyboard?

Thanks.

1) 1,10,000 INR

2) No, I already own a legit copy of Windows7

3) Yes, I need to buy everything.

Now, many people tell me to wait not just for Maxwell but GPU: 8xx, RAM: DDR4 and Mobo of X series to be released.
What do you think?

1) 1,10,000 INR

What? Is that incorrect or Indian notation of some kind?

100,000 INR is about $1636 US.

If you don't have to build immediately, there's not likely to be a penalty for waiting. Depends on how willing you are to postpone. What's the downside of waiting?

I'd make my decisions in the last 30 days before I actually had to build it. Prices will move around between now and then, but overall the trend would be your friend in the meantime---more bang for the buck the longer you wait.

1) 1,10,000 INR

So 1.1 lakh? I.e. 110,000 in Western notation?

Now, many people tell me to wait not just for Maxwell but GPU: 8xx, RAM: DDR4 and Mobo of X series to be released.
What do you think?

It depends on how urgent your need is. Your money will always go further the longer that you wait. I don't think that a Haswell-E is within your budget since you need all the accessories though.

I can whip up a build if you want to buy now. You can get a very good machine for that money.

Well, it is correct, at least here in India.

I will postpone it then.

1.1 Lakh Ya.

I'll wait and contact you the time new parts gets released 😀

Thanks for your help.

Dude what city are you located in?

I have a small advice for you. Try to get your parts from local vendors instead of flipkart. You'll end up saving a lot of money.

I recently went to a local store in my city(Kanpur, UP) to get an estimate of a few components. The difference was significant. For example

i5 3570K; Flipkart is selling for 16,750. The vendor quoted 12,250.

Asus GTX 660; Flipkart is selling for 16,113. The vendor quoted 14,450.

Asus P8Z77-M pro Flipkart is selling for 12,700. The vendor quoted 9,800.

So i suggest you stick to local vendors.
