Multi-tone squelching noise coming from case

Weird problem, guys, tonight I installed a Stalker: Clear Sky patch, started up the game and suddenly noticed a high pitched squelching noise coming from something inside the case while on the main menu. It wasn't terribly loud, but definitely noticeable. It clearly changed tones as I clicked on different elements of the main menu (One tone for controls tab, another for graphics). It goes away while loading the map, playing the game, or after exiting to Windows.

I ran Prime95 and FurMark, and I didn't hear the noise at all. It made the sound again in the Crysis: Warhead menu (different tone again), and that game doesn't have a disk-check element? What could be the culprit?

Sounds like it's coil whine to me. Pretty common with nVidia cards, as I understand. I remember having the exact same problem with my old Ti200 with one game in particular (can't remember which one now, tho'...)

OK, I can live with it as long as it's not something I need to be worried about.

Would reseating the card help?
