I am more impressed by the fact this thing can run NES, SNES, and Genesis, than the mere 18 percent off.

Never been a fan of clone systems. Maybe this one is the exception, but clones typically have inaccurate / poor-quality video output and compatibility issues with games / accessories. It's interesting that the pictured SNES-style controllers plug into the Genesis-style connectors.

I think the controllers work with all games, as in, the 9-pin ports work for all types.

It's hard to tell from the Q&A on the page.

This is certainly interesting, but I wish they'd make them with a proper HDMI connection these days and maybe a bluetooth port for using a wireless controller

unless you have a large cartridge collection, not sure how much use this would get. a quick check and it seems most of the ones you probably remember and wouldn't mind picking up have ridiculous prices attached.

Meh, if I had a cart collection I'd rather just have the original systems.
However I built my own Arcade cabinet. using high end PC gaming components and Hori joystick and buttons...runs emulators like a champ. I even emulated the phosphor flicker, screen edge curvature, scan lines..etc
Granted many of those console games feel more natural with a gamepad though. Been wanting a USB retro controller of sorts to use for it.

Amazon also has USB controllers from just about every system. And most of them are inexpensive.
