I am looking at setting up a network and will have 3 sites online very soon. It is going to be a clinic and would like to have them networked to possible download and update billing information and was wondering what it was going to take to get this done. I was thinking some kind of vpn? any ideas let me know.. I would like to have an idea before i look at paying for everything and the setup.

Thanks in advance!

Consider a site-to-site VPN. A VPN server at a site connects to a VPN at a second site. The VPN link can, potentially, allow all PCs at one site to access all PCs at the other site.

If you only need to log in remotely once a month and copy a couple of files, you could use a client-to-site VPN, Remote Desktop, or host a Secured web site (using SharePoint, for instance) at the remote sites, and just grab the needed files.
