Long story short I sold a working laptop to a guy in NYC while in Wisconsin. The guy (owner of a computer shop) took the laptop, modified it, and then resold it. The laptop then stopped working (well after my return period). The guy then filed a Chargeback through Paypal and it looks like the guy's CC company upheld it, which means my account is negative for about $530. Now since then I have moved to Montana.

Is there any way I can sue the guy/company from Montana? Or anything at all I can really do?

Ouch. Unfortunately there probably isn't much you CAN do. Paypal sucks in these types of situations.

wrong. he can sue i small claims.

but i beleive he has to file the claim in the county the guy lives in. so then he has to travel to NY for it.

But by the guy making the purchase in Wisconsin, isn't he doing business there?
