What I did was:
Hit Quote
Hit Ctrl-N to load a new window.
Went to a new page in the new window.
Typed response in old popup window.
Click "post" nothing happens.
Click "post" multiple times, realize many posts get posted.

It didn't work the same way. This time the "new" window just halfway reloaded. Might have been a transient quirk.
