multi-player 'party' game for Xbox?

are thier any good multiplayer party games for xbox (along the lines of Super Smash Bros or Mario Kart for Nintendo)

i'm just looking for a good game where we can sit down and have some mindless fun without getting into missions and stuff likes that.

Nightfire and Time Splitter 2 have been working good for now-- just seeing if anythign else was out there other than first person shooters.

$90 for a used GC, with many great party games

It's not a typical "party" game but Halo multiplayer is great if you dont have that.

Buy a Gamecube. Tons of party and multiplayer games on it. Mario Kart: DD!!, SSB:M, Super monkey ball 1,2,3, etc etc. Also some cool GBA link titles will soon come out like four swords and Pac man. Gamecube is GOD.

Xbox doesn't have many great party games, unless you think Shrek is a great game series. Xbox is mainly an online gaming machine, and it does that greatly. But it is not a PARTY machine(Except for LAN Halo). Gamecube is a great party machine. Mario Party etc. is way funner with 4 players than DOA3.

i've got an Xbox and a PS2 already-- not going to go out and buy a gamecube just for 1 or 2 games, especially when it has no other games that i ahve any interest in at all.

And dont get me wrong-- i love my xbox.. Play it all the time. (counting down days until SRS is released).

i was just wondering if there was anything 'super smash brother-ish' for it


I have tiger woods 2003, and thats a lot of fun to play with a group of people, but its just slow and takes a while to play.

Another vote for Fuzion Frenzy. There was a demo of it in Halo and it proved to be the type of party game you could only hope for. It HAS TO BE cheap now...

I'd buy it for here too, except I only have 2 controllers anyway. Not much of a party eh?

i'll play anything

if its just me-- i usually stick to games like Halo / splinter cell.. or racing games..

but right now i'm just looking for a fun to play game with a lot of replayability and a good multiplayer mode. Something easy to play, that you can just pick up-- play for a while, and be happy, And not have to work your way through all these missions and stuff. Maybe even a Tekken-ish sort of game (not DOA though.. didnt like it)

ANywyas-- i just threw in HALO to check out the Fuzion Frenzy Demo-- Definetly looks like a pretty fun party game. I might have to see if i can get a copy of it cheap somewhere. Maybe EB has some used copies.
