multi-monitor gaming

I gamed one 1 GF4 Ti4400 on 1 instance of X2: The Threat using Nvidias Span mode @ 2048x768.

Are you sure? I know for sure that you can game on 3 monitors with one Matrox card, and read that nVidia lets you game on 2 monitors with one card with the newer driver releases. Thoughts, anyone?

This has worked for years with NVIDIA's hardware span modes. Where have you been?

Of course, with only two displays, it's sort of annoying, since the 'middle' of the display is right where the break between the monitors is.

Yea, i know about the nVidia span modes... but how about spanning across 3 monitors?
I read that nVidia spanning only works with 2 monitors 🙁

You can't span across multiple cards. NVIDIA and ATI currently only make cards with two video outputs. Conclusions are left as an exercise to the reader. 😛

Oh, full screen wise.. I thought you meant running one on each screen in a windowed-ish mode.
