Couple of weird bugs that appear to be WinAmp related. I'm just started using XP and have an SB Audigy MP3 (w/ most recent drivers).

I am noticing that WinAmp can not go into multi-instance mode, even though I do have that option enabled. Any ideas as to how this can be resolved?

Oh yeah, and is there any way I can setup WinAmp so that its volume control doesnt control the main WAV volume? WinAmp didnt do that when I ran WinME. Hmmmmmmmmmm..

I can load multiple instances on mine....weird...I'm running XP too, but I have WinAmp 2.80 and a CMedia audio card built in...I've heard of software like Total Recorder not allowing you to open multiple programs to stream audio. Check that...but if not, I have no clue...hope someone else helps :)

Madness.. I'm running 2.80 also, but I also de-installed it and went back to like 2.62.. still, no difference. So, now I am back to 2.80.

I have a feeling its related to the SB Audigy. I dont know how or why.. but it probably is. Very odd.. very odd.

Right click, go to options, then preferences. Set the output to directsound, and your winamp will not control wav output anymore. :)

ooooooooh! someone is quite the badass! hehe thanks man, it did work.. although, the only output option i had was the " cross-fading direct sound output v1.37" -- so I used that but I turned off the cross-fading feature.

Under the normal "winamp2 wave out plugin v1.03" i did get it to work using the "alternative volume setting method" BUT, there was a delay when i would adjust the volume (boooooo).

BTW I did a full uninstall of WinAmp and then re-installed everything, and for some reason multiple instances work now. Quite odd, oh well! Thanks!
