multi-function lcd

amol

Lifer
good for gaming = 16ms response time or lower, at least for me

anyone know of any good multi-funtion lcds? i want to be able to connect my ps2 and tv cable to it

How big? You are looking for Dsub, DVI, svideo and composite connections all in one model?

19" 4:3

23" 16:9 or 16:10

connections i want

DVI for comp

DSUB for laptop

Composite for PS2/DVD

Coaxial for TV, unless there is S-Video, then i can concoct a way to get TV

Dell 2001FP. It's 20" but it has everything you want. Or you could try the 2005FP.

again, no composite or coaxial or s-video

NOT multifunction!

What are you talking about? It has composite and svideo and can do PIP. I should know. I had mine since December of last year and have used my Gamecube and PS2 on it.

do gcn and ps2 look good on it?

i want to have component . . . composite sucks

plus, a tv tuner would be nice

my friend has one from samsung, 19", but its 25ms response time

i want 16ms

i know its possible

Looks OK but not great. Then again I'm just using composite but ps2 isn't going to look good on any connection.

Then buy component to VGA adaptor. Or use Dsub if your hardware supports it. Or use Svideo if everything fails.

plus, a tv tuner would be nice

Then buy a separate tuner card. It's cheap and useful to have.

i dont want to buy a tuner card, because the computer is going to be loud and i dont want that noise when i want to watch tv

The only LCDs you will find in retail with component inputs are 23" widescreen models.

HP L2335 - DVI, DSUB, composite, component, S-Video, pivot, 1920x1200 (16:10), PiP, 16ms, $1600
HP F2304 - DVI, DSUB, component, S-Video, integrated speakers, 1920x1200, 16ms, PiP, 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, $2000+

Those are your two cheapest solutions. There are other comparable models: Samsung 243T and LG 2320A but they cost 2200+.

Then unmute the TV and turn up the volume or buy louder speakers. Or get rid of that crappy cable TV and get satellite. What's the next excuse? 😛

I think Samsung will be putting out a 19" version of the 173MP that's supposed to be 16ms. The 17" has a coax NTSC tuner, component, DVI, S-video, etc., so if they put out a 19", it will probably have the same specs.

but thats not offered in usa, i dont think so

I think it's supposed to be in the U.S. at some point. Honestly, if they don't release one in the U.S., I don't know if you'll be able to find what you want.
