Multi-Format DVD Recorders

To rival my comprehensive list of dual-DVI video cards, I had intended to compile an equally-extensive list of all known DVD±RW drives.

And then I found this!

Tough to beat that, eh? Just sure you click-through on the prices. $150 to $200 is now a decent range.

Well, here is a list of what's *NOT* mentioned at DVDRHelp. I expect that I'll be removing items from my list as units are incorporated into DVDRHelp's database.

Yep and Plextor just announced their Version the PX-708A and I think memorex has 1 as well.

For now that sounds about right but soon Plextor and Lite-on will be releasing an 8x Dual Format Writer. Asus a little slow will release a 4x Dual Writer.

Add the LG GSA-4040B to the list. Not only supports -R/+R and -RW/+RW, but supports DVD-RAM as well. It's the only drive currently available that supports all five DVD write formats.
