Multi-color LED light

If I wanted to build an LED light that used Red Green and Blue LED's so that I could varry the color of the light output, what would be good wavelengths to use, and where can I find resources on buying LED's?

Digi-Key will be your best bet for buying from and info. they are one of the few "big guys" that will small quantities and to everyone. As for wavelengths, it doesn't really matter. Just how bright do you want it to be? Digi-Key will list all the specs for you.
