No idea.
A guy in my home town is named Casius Clay, and is white.
I assume his ancestors used to own ALI's ancestors.

If I recall correctly, Ali's ancestors were owned by the Clay family way back. Ali, I believe was named for Cassius Marcellus Clay, a big time abolitionist from KY (he was the nephew of Henry Clay if I remember right). I don't have a biography handy and I'm too lazy to use my friend Google, so this may not be correct.
