Not sure about the death part, but people always view crimes against those that really can't defend themselves as being especially heinous. This includes children, women of any age (imo) and sometimes animals.

Criminals always commit crimes against people whom seem less likely to defend themselves. Isn't that the nature of crime?

If that happened to someone I loved, I would think that beating them to death is warranted, but I don't think they deserve the death penalty because, well, it's a slippery slope. But, if I clubbed the guy with a baseball bat I thinK I'd get off based on temporary insanity - i.e. the system works!

For those who have viewed the video........this was one of the most disgusting things Ive ever seen. Even after he takes her purse, he turns around and clocks her again so hard that she goes flying to the floor. This guy is scum, he needs to be tortured by old people everywhere.
