I have a Mugen 2 Rev.B and want to get a office system with i3 2100 and motherboard.

Maybe the ram or the capasitors around cpu are too close?

If you are making a general office pc I would just use the stock cooler.

I agree, the stock cooler would be fine for an i3-2100 office build. I've read the SB stock coolers are quite alright, and it's not like you can even overclock the 2100.

I have the i3-2100
Stick with the stock cooling.
The Stock cooler does a fine job keeping it cool and cheaper boards like that need all the help they can get with cooling the that area (using a downdraft stock cooler versus a typical tower cooler.)

I want it to be silent inside my Fractal R2 noise dampened case.

The Mugen 2 with a scythe slipstream 500-800rpm is inaudible.

As others have said, cooling an i3-2100 with this beast is... overkill.
The Mugen 2 Rev. B’s greatest design weakness is that it usually must be installed outside the case, with screws that can only be accessed from beneath the motherboard. One of its strengths is that once installed, its fan can be slid up to allow greater DIMM clearance or down to further assist motherboard voltage-regulator cooling.

Yes DIMM and capacitor clearance looks fine to me-that thing is like 3 inches off the board.
