She sent out an email with that title. It was just a fundraising email so hey, why not tell a big fat lie in order to raise money? Absent the actual event, she evidently sees good reason to capitalize on a figment of her imagination.

Lacking a crisis that should not be wasted, why not create one in the minds of the left and capitalize on the emotional responses?

In her mind he probably was fired. I think she suffers from dementia or some other brain disease. She can barely form sentences anymore.

Not saying the hyperbole shouldn't die, but it's a bit rich to hear this coming from a supporter of a President who lies about virtually everything and uses "fake news" as shorthand for "accurate news that says bad things about me." If you cared about the truth, you wouldn't be a Republican supporter.

And do you not think there's valid concern given that Trump has repeatedly talked about hoping to get rid of Mueller, how his press secretary just said he had the legal authority to fire Mueller, and how known-accurate leaks revealed that his team practically had to hold him back to prevent him from firing Mueller? Trump fantasizes about obstructing justice every day, and arguably already has.

That reads like a tv preacher asking for money. The only way to stop the devil is to give me money!
Maybe I'll send her a buck.

She should have retired last cycle.
But... a fundraising Email? The "boss" usually is not the one writing them. WTF were her staff thinking?

This is a fundraising email (with an over the top subject line). But, it's good to know that this is what you are outraged about. Not the fact that the president is at war with Mueller, his own Justice dept. and FBI. The right and their predictably persistent faux outrage machine.

She suffers from the same debilitating disease that a lot of Americans and about 99% of this forum suffer from. It's a successor to BDS or Bush Derangement Syndrome called TDS or Trump Derangement Syndrome. The inflicted are pretty easy to spot. You'll observe a pavlovian response to anything President Trump does to include: the gnashing of teeth, the wringing of hands, the rending of garments and hair and, of course, the clutching of pearls. These are usually followed by the starting of threads on echo chamber type message boards ( here, DU) which quickly evolve (devolve?) into a circle jerk that would make our olympic synchronized swim teams green with envy. The prize being the coveted ritz. Like shingles, there is no cure you only treat the symptoms and hope it doesn't last more than 4 years.

Now it's time for the ignorant to call me a trump supporter. lol.

All the spam from both sides of the aisle go directly to my PLONK folder. Never see it. Probably a good thing, too, or else I might get triggered...

It's ok to be annoyed about more than one thing at a time. Everything else you mentioned is addressed in other threads, so this one belongs to Nancy.

Outraged? Not me bubba. I think the methodologies of the progressive left are juvenile at best and I like to expose them to some daylight from time to time.

Just curious, how much did this email of hers prompt you to fork over? You can tell us, you're among friends here.

Not outraged? Then why start/post this dreck of a thread in the first place? Guess you were just too triggered to ignore this....not enough safe space or something?

I think it's safe to say, that nutters like this don't represent the 'progressive left', unless you're just using an extreme definition of the phrase.

If you feel that nutters like this are representative of the 'progressive left', let's ensure you don't leave out the nutters that claim themselves to be 'on the right'. Trust me, you've got more.

I'll tell you what, I'll call that regrettable and indefensible without using a whataboutism.

It's sad that this is what our political discourse has come to.

There. However, if you wish to use this as an example of a wider issue among only one side, I will whatabout the living shit out of you with the batshit insanity and outright denial of reality and fact that currently is mainstream on the other side.

Yep. Even "Muller" is misspelled.

Um, could this be a huge backfire? Let's take a few to look.

Nope. verified by Vox and MSNBC. Though only the headline said that. The email itself did not. It was preparing people for what must happen next if he is.

Regrettable and indefensible clickbait headline, but not a lie as it stands.

So wait, we're getting angry about stupid fundraising emails now?

Are conservatives sure they want to go down that path? I haven't bothered to google it yet but I strongly suspect I can turn up about a dozen or more from conservatives/Republicans that are WAY crazier than that.
