I just bought another 256Megs of fine breed 333 DDR (Kingston). This was supposed to b my latest addition to my bambino:
AMD 1700
256 MB 333DDR Transcend
60 + 120 HD 7200 Maxtor
GF4 MX 440
however, the computer would reboot slightly after the POST, or load windows and than just reset itself .... Faulty stick u say (kingston --> faulty ???? no way ....)
Anyhow, went to the store and replaced it with a brand new stick ...
installed it and guess what ---- it crashed .....
ok, let's try fiddling with the bios ....
disable top performance -- nothing
downgrade to 266MHz .... works just fine (hopefully after 30 minutes ....)
HELLO .....
what am i supposed to do with 333 mobo and 2 dimm @ 333 if they only work in 266 .....
help anyone ???
