Much of a Preformance hit?

My ASUS AN8 SLI Deluxe took a dive lately, good board but just died? I picked up an open box ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe over at Newegg for $100 shipped, I reading mostly good reviews and such so good deal I'm thinking.

I then see a posted review 2 days a go of it on Newegg,

have they just forgot about us with 939..great board...BUT. because its nforce4..it will support dual sli running both at 16x...but if you have a vid card that has 2 gpu it clocks both gpu's to 8x each...so for quad core systems. 4 cores at 8x(2 8800gtx). But problem isnt with mobo but actually with nforce4 itself..the chipset isnt capable of all at 16x.

At first I pissed that I missed this as I do have a dual GPU Vid Card, 7950 GX2 and a very nice one it is. Then I'm like wait, my privious M/B had to be the same and such as it is the same chipset.

So my question is.....is there much of a preformance hit/loss not getting the full monty of 16x?
