worthless, the amount of control on a 22" sub has to be very difficult. and its so long that it doesnt have any real world use. and i guarentee that an 18" sub would be louder and more efficient.

do you guys not remember Adire Audio's Parthenon sub?

MIKE

i believe they're going for the rappers and bling bling market

...I'd bet a brahma or XXX 15 would kick this sub's booty. Then again, the MTX could kickass as well - provided the install is done properly.

Anyone else remember Audiobahn's 32" monstrosity from a while back?

As far as the parthenon goes, heh, I don't know of a whole lotta woofers that'll hold their own against that thing. Pure sonic evil from looking at the specs.

That thing's almost as big in diameter as the sonotube I used for my Tempest. Impressive.

The Parthenon still kicks it's ass though, no doubt about that.

22" is a toy in comparison.

That generates reference level (121 dB SPL) output at 20 Hz, when sitting naked in a room - no room gain, no baffle, no box required.

Simply unreal.

Control? You can always change Qts to fit your needs (sometimes you just need more money, that's all).

One 22" will have a surface area just SLIGHTLY higher than 2 15"s.

I admit that the Parthenon is an engineering masterpiece, but I'd still like to see the distortion graphs from 10-60Hz.

They said something about using one in an IB for home theater use - seeing as the driver moves 2.5" from rest with 9V, the Vas is certain to be EXTREMELY high. You'd need a room that could house Fat Albert and his family.
