MTV's "Sorority Life" showing a UC Davis sorority

I was watching this last night and my roommate told me it took place at my university. Anyway, pretty interesting to see the sights of UC Davis such as the bikes, fields, and downtown. Before any stupid comments and generalizations about UC Davis or sororities, please read these articles.

Summary, 4 year old Jewish Sorority followed by MTV and show is created from it, to show life beyond partying, etc.. thus picking UC Davis :)

MTV coming to Davis was big news at UCD a few months back and you just heard about it now? :)

Not a terrible show as far as MTV reality shows go. I wouldn't watch it if it were a different school though. Guess there's a little school spirit in me after all. :p

I graduated in December, so I wasn't around in the spring when they came around... didn't get The Aggie and didn't see them around town. I find it nice that they chose a sorority that does not work around partying, but I've only seen one episode, so what do I know? ;)

is this soriority supposed to be one of those non-partying ones? wierd.. i saw one episode of this show.. and guess what.. all i saw was partying.. i saw the one where the girl's got pleged... it was cool, cause two of them were pretty hot.. but anyhow.. yah.. they partied cause they got pleged, then went out, and partied again...

a saw part of the first episode. its a jewish sorority which accepts anyone.

i think it was an ugly chicks sorority, and they all had to think they were goddesses.

my roommate and a couple of friends of mine visited them about a week before they started filming. we went out with the two main girls (leah and rachel, i think their names were, the pres & vp) to the local bar, got pretty well toasted, then returned back to their house and stayed up for the rest of the night hanging out. the next morning they (& the rest of the girls in the house) made us a pretty damn good breakfast. 'twas pretty cool, & now that they're pseudo-celebrities it makes for a neat story :)
also, rachel is pretty cute in real life, as were a couple other girls that i haven't seen on the show (i've only watched one episode).

I'll agree with you that Rachel is cute. and also the VP Leslie. other than that...blah.

All that show did was remind of how much i hate sororities/fraternities. The girls on that show are so annoying it sickens me.

Totally agreed. If I wanted to buy my friends, I would look to pay more :D

Although I HATE most MTV reality type shows, I wish I still had cable so I could watch this one...because I walked by those cameras so many times with my kids. We probably ended up on the show as some of those dumb looking people wandering around in the background. I'd love to tape it for my kids if they were on the show.
