Awards were done on sat, but not set to air till Thurs?

were all the MYV awards show like this?

or is it because they dont want to get fined by the FCC nowadays?

Not like anybody really cares that much. This is probably done so they can release a bit of news and clips to see how much buzz it's going to get, then plan appropriately for buffer shows to pick up the slack for ratings.

I don't know what the problem is... the history of the awards has shown they will still air the crazy stuff celebs do or say (Jim Carrey anyone?... Carmen Electra/Paris Hilton kiss?)... they can implement a few minute delay if they cared... I don't know why it's not live at all...

IIRC - alot of MTV's Award shows are not live. Hell, even "VH1's Divas LIVE" did not air live, dispite it being touted in the title. Live these days just means it was filmed at some time in the past, with a live audience.

I'm just going to watch it because there's going to be a kick ass performance from Mariah Carey :)

USAToday said that Emilio was a complete no-show, and Judd Nelson didn't join them on stage.

It sucked and was quite disappointing. Molly Ringwald did show off her new pregnancy boobs though, complaining about how they were about to fall out of her shirt. :p

I went with my fiance this past Saturday... it was pretty boring and WAY too long, and we left after Tom Cruise accepted his Generation Award.

Highlights:

1. Mariah Carey's Performance
2. Dustin Hoffman's crotch-grabbing acceptance speech :)

If you want to know who won early (before the show is aired... and no, it's hasn't been aired live for years... if they did I pity the viewers, they took a minute to tape each presenter and then 5-10 minutes setting up the stage for the next presenter/performance :( ), I'll do my best to remember and tell you. :)

I didn't take any, sorry! (they were HUGE, though... she's still cute, 20 years later)

I went to the 2003 MTV Movie Awards with some friends and I remember them having us (the audience) clap and cheer louder during one of the 'returning from commericals' introduction recordings. If we weren't loud enough or looked like everyone was clapping, they would have us redo it.

It was a lot of fun, nonetheless.
