MTV: Fraternity Life

No, they're not gay at all. The show is actually more interesting than sorority life 2... both of which are filmed at my alma mater Univ at Buffalo (strange seeing your school on national tv)... but still... these kinds of shows suck. I'm watching it cause I miss Buffalo so much. 😉

Both Fraternity Life and Sorority Life 2 have the dumbest people involved. I am addicted just so I can laugh at them.

Fraternity Life has that one spaz who just moved out of his parents house... good lord he needs some riddalin or some sort of medicine.

That DZO sorority has got some of the fugliest looking girls. A couple of the pledges don't look too bad though so there might be hope.

heh i have seen 2 episodes of frat life. I never was in a frat and never wanted to. After watching this im really glad i didnt try to!

Damn I think the pledges live better than the brothers in that house MTV provided... pretty sad, selling out your fraternity for a furnished house... thankfully they are a local fraternity, otherwise national and the alumni's would come down and lay a whooping.

A lot of people in college are stupid, regardless of being in a sorority/fraternity or not, although these shows are not helping the greek image.

Well dayam, never knew there was another on the board...sup domain 🙂 I'm a bro from down at UGA. Was wondering if I'd ever see a Lambda on these boards.

Anyways, no, fraternities are not = rent-a-friend. It's a tired argument, buys into a common stereotype, and lacks any logical basis. And besides that, no two fraternities are the same. Thus, the guys pictured on frat. life are not indicative of fraternit members as a whole. It's just like with any other population in that over-generalizing is dangerous.

Oh, and domain...you going to G-Cup in Austin in a couple weeks? About 7 of us and 3-4 guests are driving over, so if you are then I'll see ya there. IEB~

Afternoon Whisper, another Lambda hehehe. Think that's three, Ketan (Got Milk) CC at Cornell, you and I. Think Yugo (CC Purdue) frequents the Hot Deals forums too (lurker). As for Governors Cup, no plans to hit it up this year =T, cash flow a problem. 3 of our bros going to be in NoCal roadtripping the chapters there and 10 of us are gonna road trip the NE during our spring break...

Yeah, we can all understand about the $$ problem...that's the main reason we drive rather than fly. It's not that we're hardcore road trippers, it's that we're always hardcore broke, heh.

Our spring break is actually starting up right now (well, technically tomorrow), though I'm not sure where everyone's headed. I know a few are going to Orlando, I'll be in Tallahassee visiting a "friend," and a few others are thinking of Miami. I did hear one of the guys mention driving up to Buffalo for China Night next weekend, but not sure about that. They stopped by here a bit ago and made sure to fully promote the event, so I think a few of the guys are pretty hyped about it.

Too bad we won't be seeing you at G-Cup, but hopefully Convention. Oh, and I didn't actually go to Halloween this year, but I heard it was pretty fun. Definitely gonna have to check it out next time around. Need at least one trip in before I graduate~

Yeah we were deciding between UPenn's Fusion Jam or Buffalo's China Night/ Alumni Weekend. Going to meet with the roadtrip crew today to discuss and vote on it. Rather go to Buffalo even though it's out of the way, a show, a party and get to meet all the OG's. With Fusion Jam, it's just a party... pm me the contact info of whoever is hitting up Buffalo...
