MTR -- Team Triple-A Activity Arena!!!

Chips are on the coffee table (barbecue, low fat of course). American beer is in the fridge, real beer is out on the counter. 😉

Production was down for most of our members. I don't know for how many of you this was due to the backlog on OK's proxy, and how many due to :Q lost production :Q not being able to connect to Berkeley directly.

The last few days I stocked up on WUs in my SetiQ, in case things got as bad as they are now. So if anyone is having connection problems (who isn't), I suggest at least creating Q's at siren.2y.net:5001, and I'll fill each one real good. 😀

On another note, my gf is recovering very well from having her tonsils removed last week, and should be back at work soon. Obviously I'm far more concerned with her wellbeing, but a bonus is that when she goes back to the office, she'll dump what should be a nice stash of WUs that were processed on 2 PCs while she's been away. 🙂

PS: She's been such a trooper. In her mid-20s, yes she's a bit old for having her tonsils removed, but a nasty infection had her throat sore on and off for the last 3 years.

Note: Please, please, no jokes about why her throat was always sore. I've heard them all. 😛
 
Sorry that I'm sort of letting the team down. I've lost about 10WUs per day since the HD in my 1900+ died. Also, a friend of mine at college who was doing stuff for me has been so busy that he can't get either of his comps working quite right after a Win2K reinstall, let alone run SETI.

I'm still working on those regenerative shields. Anyone know how to get an executable to execute in KLinux? I compiled FTP statically linked, but it gives me the cryptic error message:

sh: ftp: not found

even when running ftp without arguments. Any ideas?

I have been trying to assimilate my friend's Athlon 1200 but he repeatedly claims SETI@home is causing system reboots on his Windows 2000 box. 🙁

Anyway, our team is probably on Grant's hand, as he always surprises us with his "secret weapon" before deadline 😉

Hogwash!!!

My old rival def has upped his production considerably, no one on the team is really lagging, and we're not by any means out of the race at all!!! So far, everyone has done a good job, and if we keep it up, it'll be straight to the top!

Now, everyone make an extra effort this weekend to find new assimilations.
