MTR team question...

All right, now that I have been away from my computer and not able to be sitting around reading the forums all the time. :/ I do have a couple questions...

Do I have to pick a team? Do I have to be placed on a yeam? Is there a team capt for each team? And what do I have to do to help with the team. Right now I only do about 2 WU a day. I don't have the money to spread my SETI wealth all over the place. My friends are not computer nerdlings and my work is the farthest place from a computer you can imagine. So for now, I will be able to add a couple WU per day. That's all. But maybe I can help a team even thigns out on the stats front. Someone that knows please leave a msg and maybe fill me in as to what team I would/will be on. Thanks..
