News MTG is now going max throttle to fire Fauci, in every way she possibly can.

Apparently MTG's "Fire Fauci" act has received a petition request for a "Motion to Discharge Committee" which was filed by Mrs. Greene herself. A bunch of other congressmen have also signed the motion as well. Of course this probably will not go anywhere, as the committee members are mostly on Biden's side, but it does show how desperate the Republicans are becoming.

Oh..... So THIS explains my Qanon sister's recent barrage of anti-Fauci posts on her FB. Her shit claiming Fauci tortured dogs, children and the homeless in order to conduct his "medical experiments". Bay-shit crazy nonsense, but hey.... what else do they have? They can't talk about the truth because they know no truth. Fauci knows the truth, especially the truth about fighting covid and the truths of vaccines, but Q-ers don't want to hear that truth.

MTG seeks relevance to deny insignificance as we all do, not knowing her real worth. In a world filled with people struggling for significance, the attention she garners creates admirers who want to share the attention or else engender jealous competitive hostility.

Attention can also be turned into money because of the inner need that comes from the vacuum of self respect created by inculcated self hate.

We live in a world full of vacuum cleaners sucking on vacuum cleaners.

Yup. Clowns like her and Madison Cawthorn are looking for attention through ever more ridiculous performative hatred of Dr. Fauci because the base fixated on him for defying Trump and being more popular than him.

It’s hard for folk with major self esteem issues to deal with the fact the universe doesn’t give a damn about the self importance they neurotically attach to their own feels so they spend their frustrations in the hopes of making everybody not so self absorbed equally miserable. In this way the small minded find purpose and meaning unaware that the real damage they do is to their own self potential for growth. They strive to generate rage in their imagined opponents but generate instead only pity in those who see their carefully manicured and self inflicted suffering. The loss of the sense of self worth is substituted for by the pleasures of victim mentality.

I think this is true for some people but for plenty of others I think you're discounting cynical self interest. She gets attention through being shitty and attention = money and influence.

So maybe some of these people act this way out of feelings of worthlessness, but plenty of them act this way out of feelings for money.

What's sickening are the other congresspeople who signed the petition.

True, but I believe that the need is for a sense of self worth and it is the loss of it n childhood via being put down as worthless that generates the need for a replacement. The obvious substitute for real self worth is wealth. As my father used to say, money may not be everything but it is way ahead of whatever is in second place. With money one can buy all manner of ego gratification and body pleasure. It’s not like people easily become aware of the emptiness of their inner state. It is that awareness we most deeply repress.

I am constantly reminded of this when I hear on the radio or TV some ad for some product I deserve to experience. Every kind of inner emptiness created by robbery in childhood carries with it a sense of entitlement. That’s just another face to victim mentality. We really were victims, doubly so for our contempt of them.

Setting the bat!@#$ aside for a moment, there are some questions regarding US funding gain of function research in China where COVID likely escaped. Despite a prior order to put an end to it. Fauci denied it all to Congress despite it being "well documented" according to Republicans.

Are we to believe none of it is real, or did that man blatantly lie to Congress?

Let's answer those questions. And if Dr Fauci lied to Congress then he should be held responsible.

None of which has anything whatsoever to do with Dr Fauci giving sound scientific advice about how to deal with the pandemic. Where it came from has nothing to do with what we need to do to end it. I do think at this point he's become another Hillary-devil and perhaps another scientist should take the fore. It'll take a while for the anti-science, anti-fact GOP believers out there to scrounge up enough hate for the new face, and in the meantime perhaps a few more people will listen to him. Is that fair to Dr. Fauci? No, IMO, but results are what matters. I don't personally give a shit if anti-vaxxers die a horrible death, but it affects me both directly (covid breeding ground) and indirectly (cost to our medical system), so I do want them vaccinated.

The issue is the text of the bill is bat!@#$. If people separately think that Fauci's testimony disqualifies him from his position, then it would be appropriate for them to draft a non-bat!@#$ bill to that effect. Such a thing would not be "sickening" to me.

I had some thoughts about answering your last question, but I decided that this would be tangential and only aid in legitimizing MTG's bill. We could talk about it in a different thread.

It's not just about money or self-worth issues, although obviously these are big factors, but quite a few people are just plain bad hombres. It's time to stop giving rotten souls all the excuses.

Bad people are bad in my opinion because it was the only way to get even with those who told them they were. This happens owing to the innate laws of human psychology, human nature, and it is also human to want to blame others when you personally suffer from that nature. Old men shouting at clouds is an apt analogy. There is no one to blame. You might as well blame a pianola for the music it plays or yourself for blaming people for bad behavior. The only escape from our mechanical unconscious behavior is to awaken.

The research in question was never intended to achieve "gain of function". There never was an order for Fauci to put an end to it, merely the denial of a funding request. None of that has anything to do with the pandemic, either, other than to flood the zone with shit. And, uhh, your use of the term "likely" Is merely an indication of susceptibiity to conspiracy theory on your part.
