MTBF of servers, desktops, and laptops?

Ok I'm looking for the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rates of today's typical servers, desktops and laptops. I know there are many factors involved but I'm not looking for exact numbers, just a rough estimate.

I've tried searching on the company's websites but they mention nothing about it (why would they?). I tried calling customer support but they just have me going around in circles (automated systems). I went through 10 pages of Google search results but nothing specific really came up.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are right, there are far too many factors for even giving a rough number. Server A may have a longer MTBF simply due to one piece of hardware that Server B lacks. Maybe an idea is to look at the length of warranty and estimate the MTBF based on how long the comapny is willing to support the hardware in question?

I have never seen such data for complete systems - just the components such as HDDs, CDRWs, etc. Any system failure is usually due to a component failure - and that is usually determinable from the maker. An intergrated system is only as reliable as the weakest component.
