but man that the new v8 Stang really noes dives under braking tests :p

It's call springs designed for mass market appeal. Believe it or not, not everyone buying a car like a Mustang want's to trade 50% less comfort and harshness for 4% better handling in some aspect that won't ever matter to them.

Holy butt hurt in this thread Batman. Blah blah blah. Mustang keeps up with M3. Mustang kills M3. Who cares. You're comparing Fine Wine and a can of Coke. Both are good to drink. But, different types of people are going to be more prone to buy each. That's the way it is. No matter what you choose, they're both nice cars. They have great performance as well. If you're going to consider yourself "better" than someone because you have one of these cars while the other person doesn't, who cares. Live in your little bubble. And that applies to both sides. There will still be Stang owners who think their car is Gods gift to the automotive world and they're going to rub it in everyones face. You're just as bad as the snobby BMW owner.

This. M3 is a great car and appeals in ways a Mustang never will and never should, but simple fact is majority of them are going to be peeling out at stop lights next to Hondas and Fords on the way to the office, like it or not, and the only time the owner will be conscious of the heated seats and the badge is to console himself on the rare chance he loses to an "inferior" car.

What bothers me more actually is the Mustang crowd... Everyone who didn't have a Cobra then, esp younger inexperienced drivers who don't know anything about cars and mod potential, are going to have stock Cobra power now in a base level GT and they are all going to be out in droves trying to prove something, and it's going to get old fast... at least until word gets around that you still don't play with snakes, especially the ones that let out ear piercing screams before biting :awe:

Hey exdeath, I don't see you coming down so hard on the V6 'Stang crowd with Borla exhausts ;)

But seriously, we're all gear heads to some degrees, let's just appreciate the cars for what they are and, and... can we all just get along?

Also, exdeath, those new GT owners that you are speaking of will be responsible for a pretty hefty insurance hike too.

I don't have to, they speak for themselves. Yay domestic rice.

Last one is totally worth it.

I'm more tolerant of ricers, bless their hearts. Ignorance can be excused and I really try not to judge people for doing their own thing to their own car regardless how retarded I think it is. People deliberately bullying other people who didn't ask for it, on the other hand, I absolutely cannot stand. A ricer just being a ricer is harmless. A prick in a 400 HP Mustang or BMW who is tripping so hard on a narcissist complex that he feels the need to rev at, show off, antagonize, take cuts, use his power to deny lane access, drag race, cut off, or nearly run a stock Tercel or Escort or Camry off the road is taking it to an entirely new realm that the phrase douche bag cannot even begin to define.

i just want to say if you can afford to bring your car to the ring and just practice driving around there for a while to get a good time, even an M3 is not a serious enough car for that...

the new gt is pretty sick. I guess the only thing else I would want is too put it on a diet and lose the live rear axle

Ill take mine in black please.

Seriously the black Boss looks boss as hell. I don't normally like flashy bits but that thing is pure awesome.

From a drivers perspective, it also has real gauges that are easy to read, instead of the retro crap in the GT.

This thread really got out of hand quickly!

Bravo to the Mustang for an awesome performance. That 5.0 really sounds fantastic...I'm dying to test drive one. Ford really hit it out of the park with that engine. A jet black Boss 302 would be AWESOME to own.

Those cars are worthless.

And for the record, I think the M3 looks a shit ton better than the Mustang...not sure if it looks $30,000 better but it does look better IMO.

Counter intuitive since an IRS assembly adds over 100 lbs.

The "ancient ox cart axle" on the current Mustang handles as good or better than than IRS on all its competition, deal with it and quit being a buzz word snob.

Yeah but at least the weight goes at the back.

IMHO the Taurus SHO is a fantastic car. My friend almost picked it over an A4 Premium Plus Quattro but decided he didn't want that big of a car.

It feels 99.9% the same as any midsize german lux car, E class, 5 series, A6. No joke, fantastic engineering.

Well, it's basically a Lincoln MKS. Cut down to fit in the price range.

better than participating in this bitchfest.

Well, some cars just may not be your style.

Muscle cars are generally red neck cars so I would never buy one.

It's like, even though woman's underwear may be awesome and super comfortable, but I could never pull one off.

From the second video: "Sorry 1965 Shelby guys, but this thing will destroy it." :D

You guys talking about the black one with red trim? That was pretty sweet!

What is luxury exactly? Leather seats? An automatic transmission? Or a DSGSSGGSSGSFLAPPYPADDLEGEARBOXOMG? iDrive? That solid thunk when you slam the door? Or is it the fact that you get a loaner car when you go in for service? Or is it the $125 oil changes? Or the $1000 brake jobs every 15k miles? Or is it just the BMW keys you toss to the valet?

Of course you wouldn't cross shop the Mustang GT and the BMW M3. To even consider the Mustang would indicate how little you really care about your image...and that's all that really matters isn't it?

LOL, you win.
