I'll take the Stang and the $25,000 any day of the week.

I'd take the Stang any day as well, but I was sort of surprised it won. Man those were all close (drag race).

What I don't understand is why they don't ever switch drivers in these tests.

Maybe now BMW will consider putting more torque of the low end variety on the M3 :p

Anyways what I found amazing was how much torque that Mustang puts of, it looked like it chirped its tires/left a little rubber going from 5th to 6th. Maybe I'm mistaken but either way impressive for the Mustang. I'll take it and the 25K any day

Nice! Zee Germans must hate that a $30,000 Mustang GT can equal their uber M badge.

I hate that powder blue color though.

I'm kind of taken with the new Taurus SHO myself.

do people really cross shop these cars?

No one who looks at an M3 would cross-shop a Stang. It's just how it is. Obviously the M3 is more than just about straight line. It handles exceptionally and is obviously a luxury car vs a cheap speed pony car but no one would cross-shop the two.

I wonder if the track driver has his own show. If he does someone show me it because he is very informative. And thumbs up to ford.

This isn't 1968, the Mustang can handle well

Man, that "ultimate driving machine" bullshit really does sell cars doesn't it? :D

Of course the Mustang handles well for what it is. Did I say it didn't? But if you've seen what the new M3 can do then it's a HUGE difference as it should be cus it's not a cheap car Comparing the Stang with an M3 in the handling department is dumb. Not even close.

Let me know when the M3 has double wishbones like real sportscars. It's a compromise just like the Mustang.

Cus of Skid Pad of 0.98g for the M3 is sooooooooooo terrible. Geez some of you guys are funny. I never said any bad about either car. The M3 of course should be better in most areas cus IT FREAKING COST SO MUCH DAMN MORE.

You sound like quite an angry fanboy thar.

Fanboy??? I don't even like the M3 but some of you guys get so riled up when someone says otherwise to what the general consensus is. Hello a more expensive car should be a better overall car. Not that hard to understand.

*sigh* Never mind you guys don't get it.

We get it fine. You don't seem to get that according to these tests the Mustang performs better, and you are saying that is wrong...against evidence...

No, i get it. And it makes more sense now that you posted a second time (i replied @ the same time as you)

Better could mean more interior space, more comfortable ride. Better is a lot of things to a lot of different people

What evidence? The M3 handles better. No one would ever question that except you obviously. I don't understand why you can't understand. The Mustang has more torque which helps it exit out of the turns faster. Does that mean it handles better? No. The BMW costs more, no one would ever cross-shop these. It's a fully equipped luxury car to a cheap speed pony car. I don't get what's so hard to understand.
