mt. st. helens just blew

Heh..

My brother called me, and I ran out with my camera.. But I was just a little too late. As soon as the sun went down, it was really hard to see the cloud from here.

Oh well.

I can see a bit of a glow spot on the horizon around where the mountain would be, past Tacoma. Anybody know if it's given off enough to actually show?

The plume apparently hit about 36,000 feet before it blew over. My spouse saw it from the parking lot at work, but I missed it.

damnit.. i live close enough to see this, in Kennewick, Washington.. but I was working when it happened, didnt know about it, and when I got off it was dark 🙁
