Whenever I try to open up Paint, I get this error:

mspaint.exe - Application Error

The exceptioin Integer division by zero.
[0xc0000094] occured in the application at location 0x0101efe6.

Has anybody else gotten this error? How do I fix this problem?

Thanks.

Try a real paint program? :) Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I've not heard of any such problem happening to anyone before ... Paint is pretty darned simplistic. If you installed a new video driver or some other software package immediately before the problem surfaced, then I'd look carefully at that. Otherwise, you could try removing the Paint component and then reinstalling it (using Add/Remove Windows Components, under Accessories). In extremis, perhaps using the Repair Windows XP option would help (though I'm not at all convinced it would be worth the trouble of doing so just to get Paint working ... not when there are better image editors than Paint, and that can be had for free).

Your best bet is probably just to replace the executable.. I don't think it has other dependencies
