MSNBC is in serious trouble

It has always been like this. MSNBC has always lagged behind everyone else. And they are essentially trying to be a liberal version of Fox News with very limited success.

CNN just tries whatever gimmick they can think up to stay somewhat relevant (failing at that though).

Either way, they all have one thing in common: no real news 99% of the time.

MSNBC is not news at all. It is liberal garbage. The fact they employ maddow, Sharpton, Matthews and O'donnell tells everything you need to know about them.

I hate fox news the most, then I hate CNN and MSNBC both quite a bit.

I'd much rather watch BBC news or Al Jazeera English, or, I can just read fark.

Not only are the primetime hosts terrible at MSNBC but their programming sucks too. Why did they ever think prison shows like Lockdown would ever bring in ratings?

Well, a left wing true believer will say the same about Fox but from the opposite direction. So this sort of silly mud throwing never goes anywhere.

It is not just obama though.

When companies like CNN show anti-gun programming they are going to lose viewers. People may have believed that anti-gun stuff back in the 1990s, but today the gun movement is towards personal protection.

The assault rifle ban did almost nothing to stop criminal activity. People can go out on the internet and find studies on how gun control does not reduce crime. But yet CNN and MSNBC continue to push their agenda.

The people have two supreme court ruilings that ensure we have the right to keep and bear arms. But yet CNN and MSNBC continue with their anti-gun garbage.

Companies like CNN and MSNBC attack core American values. Who wants to watch that?

CNN and MSNBC need to stop pushing an agenda and just report the news.

I can almost promise you, if CNN and MSNBC adopted a pro-gun stance, their viewership would jump.

Lockdown sucks, but it is far and away better than any of their "news" shows. If they showed "caught on camera" and "lockdown" instead of the garbage like madcow, they'd probably increase their ratings significantly.

I turn on Lockdown if it is on & there's nothing else I want to watch (which happens a lot) & I don't have anything else going on at the moment. It's interesting enough.

I admit to that guilty pleasure as well but it's lazy programming. It doesn't bring in ratings

I only watch the Chris Matthews show for comic relief. He has the strangest odd looks and grimaces. Then I swear he's is reality like 100 years old. Some of his politics and expressions seem so dated. I do respect him for carrying the FDR torch though.

The same FDR who violated the Constitution?

At all the fast food joins (McD, BK, etc.) around here with TV's, all of them are on Fox News or Sports, bar none (except one Wendys on CNN). Not sure if they are under the same ownership or not (doubt it).

Personally, I do not have much time to watch TV (no cable or dish/direct TV, just rabbit ear) so I do not care for any of them. When I need to know what is going on, I watch BBC, NHK, Google News, and other news sources without the sensational garbages such as the Kadardashian and such.

Oh gosh one office I do occasional work in used to listen to Limbaugh every day (office of just 3 women employees, how's that for demographics?), but since he was dropped by the Chicago station they now listen to HLN internet radio... That station is revolting! So much pointless celebrity news, so much pointless courtroom cases & analysis, and most horrific is their use of twitter lingo, like they start a story off saying "up next is a trending story that is hashtag hot!"

What are Americas er Texas Hikers Core Values?
Is there a web site were I can view these Core Values?
Who made them?
Where they voted on?
Were two etched tables brought down by the great Prophet Reagan?

Serious dude you seem like a reasonable person but you seem to a limited view of the rest of the world beyond your pigs, chickens and those wacko websites.

No way am I going to watch the al jihadi channel, but I do watch some BBC every now and again.

I was suspicious of them too. However they are not like Russia Today ("RT") which is obviously propaganda. RT shows labeled "news' are clearly editorial. I.e., a slanted and with an agenda.

OTOH, ALJAM 'news' shows have been quite good. I've only watched them for about a month. IMO, their coverage of the Ukraine/Crimea situation was the very best. They actually had correspondents at the Ukraine military bases that were surrounded by the Russians etc. They're the news teams that got beat up.

I agree, RT used to be better, it still has some good non-popitical documentrys and the Kieser report is fun to watch sometimes.

ALJAM has a few ex CNN folks and is quite good imo. Just wish it was in HD around here.

All three of those are terrible sources of information. Please tell me that you aren't getting your news from any of them.

IMO the only real news source currently is www.vice.com They go into area's where no one else will go and into topics that no one will touch. Great reporting

Al Jazeera America seems pretty good and BBC is good sometimes. I go to Reuters for online news.. msnbc has really sucked lately and cnn went off the deep end with the MH370 stuff.. Rachel Maddow is usually pretty good and I like watching Anthony Bourdains show. Fox News is a joke but everyone with half a brain should know this by now.

Also love watching Real Time with Bill Maher

Then of course John Stewart and Colbert are awesome

which 3?

fox and msnbc i agree

never really watch that much of any news so not sure how good the other ones are except that bbc is not as bad as many american programs and that al jazeera is more or less the arabian bbc
