a TIE! Gore = 269, Bush = 269. If that does happen then Congress would vote on who the next president would be.

I doubt it'll be a tie. The last electoral vote count I saw put Bush ahead of Gore in the "clinched" state categories but Gore ahead of Bush in possibly reaping the "undecided" votes. So who knows? It's a close election. We're really voting for the lesser of two evils. But as Nader said, "If you vote for the lesser of two evils, at the end of the day you still have evil.".

The media's trying to maintain the illusion that it's going to be a tight race to keep viewers tuned in and to keep their chosen party in contention. Internal tracking polls show Bush is widening the lead and one cable news person was reported to say that tomorrow may be an early night, meaning Gore is gonna go down early.

The constant blather and spin just means that Wednesday, we're gonna find out who's be smoking rope the most. We'll see then.

if there is a tie in the electoral college:

the house will pick the president from the top three candidates for president. each state gets one vote, not each representative, so only 50 votes will be cast.

the senate will pick the vice president from the top two candidates for VP. each senator will get a vote, for 100 votes.

therefore, if the democrats take the house as they wanna do, and the republicans keep the senate, we might see president gore and vice president cheney.

scary huh?

Actually, I've mixed live sound for Kid Rock twice before he blew up this time. He was playing to only a couple hundred people at the time but he was quite nice and professional. ZERO star attitude, unlike many stupid bands I had to deal with.

I know people who still hang with him now and he's still cool according to them. Laid back and keeping Detroit front and center. Good man.

I also know Eminem's attorney (one of them) and I give him buckets of grief about Marshall's escapades. In fact, the incident with the ICP guy happened a mile down the street from where I live. Bunch of savages in this town.
