I just moved to a new apartment where cable modems are unavailable, and I had thought (erroneously) that the only reasonably-priced way to get broadband was an MSN package offered by my telco, Qwest. MSN SUCKS ASS!!! No POP3 e-mail, no news server, and the fugliest proprietary browser in town. Fortunately I now realize I can get Earthlink with a MUCH faster connection (1.2 Mbps, as compared to 256K w/ MSN/Qwest), POP3 e-mail, and newsgroups for only $10 more per month - sayonara, MSN!
