Alright, before you tar and feather me for wanting to buy what amounts to an updated WebTV let me explain:
My mother hounds me to look stuff up for her online. I've tried teaching her to use a computer before but she just doesn't stick with it. I think she used it for about an hour after I went through some basics with her and never touched it after that. I suggested she try a class at the local adult school. I mean, real basic stuff (using the mouse, etc.) She won't go. Yet I know she wants to look up stuff online.
To the point. The only reason I'm considering this is because it'd be simple to use. Also, there's already DSL in the house and now you can hook these things up to it. The monthly fee is $9.95 or $99 yearly (not a big deal if she actually is able to use it).
So am I nuts for even considering this? What other real options do I have? I admit the hardware is expensive for what it is ($200 for a 733 Celly?). At least now it has more computer functionality (flash drives, memory cards, etc.)
