MSN Passport Screwed?

Anyone else having problems logging into MSN Messenger / Hotmail / any Passport site today? When I try to login I get the "Microsoft® .NET Passport was temporarily unable to complete your request. Please try again later."

What an annoyance!! Side note, I've been having problems with Messenger not updating the number of new emails on Hotmail as well, it seems to check when I first login, and gets the count right, but after I read those new messages and/or delete them the count never updates...

And after doing absolutely nothing differently -- now it's working again. I'll chalk it up to some unscheduled MS maintenence.

i posted about it in off topic, it only affects people with non-hotmail accounts

I was logged in all day with my non-MSN account.

...but did you logout at all then try and login? Mine was fine until I restarted my computer, then I couldn't login again.

I login with my Hotmail account -- and all day couldn't get in. I attempted to reset my password, access Hotmail with a manual login to Passport, nothing worked. The password reset didn't happen because there seemed to be some sort of problem even fetching my data once I specified my account. But... it's working now, I'll cross my fingers it's still working when I login tomorrow!

I rebooted twice, never had a problem. *shrug*
