MSN Messenger opens IE as its browser even though it is not my default

I use MYIE2 how can I get MSN messenger to use that to open links/email etc instead of IE? MYIE2 is set as my default browser, but MSN still uses IE to lauch internet related stuff. Do I have to do something in the registry?

ie on XP is a virus, i deleted the iexplore.exe and any dir that looks like IE, and it still pops up as my default even though netscape is set as the default

i think you can use XPLite to kill it, but the demo doesnt let you do anything fun, just lil stuff, basically xplite deletes programs that xp has installed
