msn messenger alternatives

i am looking for another program that i can use w/ my messenger address, besides msn messenger and trillian.
the reason being, im @ work, and i dont have admin privledges to install messenger, and trillian doesnt work at all for some reason.

adogi didnt work due to proxy server
and the express doesnt work cause -- we have about 80% internet sites blocked
 
You can try BitWise Chat, if your firewall allows outgoing connections it can work... or, if not, you can always set up a buddy list from home and then message them from the website. It's not necessairly elegant but it may be worth a shot.
