Hello everybody here, came across this forum while I was searching for a solution for the problem I currently have with MSN Messenger.
It all started a couple of weeks ago, suddenly I couldn?t log in to my MSN and my hotmail, it gave me the error that my Windows Live ID was wrong or didn?t exist. I was 100% sure I filled in all correctly, but I figured I?d request a new password anyways. So I did, got myself a new password and tried if I could login again. I couldn?t so getting in touch with Hotmail staff would do I thought. Maybe someone got into my account or something, as I couldn?t login from site-based Messengers either.
I told them what my problem was, and asked what to do about it. They gave me some things to try out (some virus scanners, cleaning Firefox/Internet Explorer, some other things I can?t really remember), I did but still it didn?t work. So I mailed them that it still didn?t work, they responded that they couldn?t do anything about it. They think my account was ?frozen? because someone (or someone with a program) logged in to my account to many times with a wrong password.
Then I made a new e-mailadress, this time a G-mailadress, just so that I could still check my mail if MSN/Hotmail login service wasn?t working for me. All was good, unfortunately I didn?t save my contacts so I had to request the list from Hotmail. Then I added the e-mailadresses that I wanted in my list (going from 3000 to like 170). MSN worked fine for a day, then a day later I suddenly couldn?t login anymore into the account, the same error occurred. Again I sent some mails to the customer service, but they said the same.
Now, about a month after the first time I couldn?t login; I still cannot login to Windows Live Messenger, and it is beginning to get quite frustrating (you don?t know how much you use it until you don?t have it!). I tried loads of stuff, reinstalling Messenger, clearing firefox, reinstalling internet explorer, loads of virus scanners etc.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do to get on Windows Live Messenger again?
