MSN Explorer Mail - Location of "download to computer" files?

My grandpa got a new HD and did a fresh install of everything, he has his old drive hooked up for now as a slave and is pulling data off it. He realized the other day that he had downloaded mail through his MSN Explorer (Verizon DSL) to his computer. There is an option to do this and not store it on the server. Problem is, now that he's switched drives we are trying to find the files. MS help has been horrid (like always) and I've done countless google searches with no luck.

Does anyone know where these files are and what type of file?

NOTE:
This is NOT Outlook or Outlook Express.

Yeah client is MSN Explorer (you check email through it), see I dont think any of the data is in C:\Documents And Settings\User\Application Data we looked there, found some but it was all dated just minutes before when we had opened up MSN explorer to see if we could find anything in the settings that told us where it was saved. When we move the files from the old drive to the new drive nothing shows up in the "stored messages" within explorer where they previously had shown for him.

He's tried that, they won't give him support, Verizon is the first "route" and verizon isn't helping at all. What a crock of crap. Guess he's screwed.
