What is this MSN cashback/rebate thing that i keep reading about in HD and how do I get it?

I ordered two items from OfficeMax which brought my total MSN dollars to $100. I then found out that the order was placed on backorder so I cancelled it a few hours later.

However, I still have the full $100 in my account 😛

Something similar happened during the last promtion. I had to cancell an item, yet still got $92.51 to use for something I didn't even "pay" for.

I miss the old MSN Passport how they'd cut you a check and mail you actual $

Rather than $ towards future purchases with that merchant.

I agree, the cash rebate was 100 times better.
